The mind one of the most powerful tools we possess and many times we simply underestimate its’ power. We think and say things without even acknowledging that these thoughts and words can either make us or break us.
It is important to understand the simple concept of how you treat yourself, is how your body will respond, in ALL the sense of the word! We often focus on how others are treating us, and while that is important, it is of more importance that we focus on how we are treating ourselves.
Things that make you wonder:
Ever start listening to a good rhythmic song that may even bring you good memories and notice how your mood immediately picks up? Or perhaps the opposite, depending on if the song brings you to a sad memory, how it could affect your mood negatively? Something as simple as a song choice has the power to affect you for the rest of the day.
Or, have you notice how your mood is in the morning when you get up and the sun is shining? Or if it’s an overcast day, how your mood is kind of blah?
Ever heard the term, “got up from the wrong side of the bed”, meaning everything comes out wrong throughout the day? It is amazing that when we do not start our day the best way, everything seems like it is wrong or perhaps you should have stayed in bed. News flash: the side of the bed you get up from has nothing to do with it.
I bring these simple scenarios up because it is imperative that we understand the power of these simple actions/events have over us. How can our state of mind shift immediately?
Putting this into perspective, lets now talk about how when you reach a certain point in your life that you are tired of a repeated action, how when you say: “enough is enough” when you reach a disgusted point, how powerful you can be when it comes to changing behaviors. When you reach that point, you are ready to make changes and a simple action can be the ultimate catalyst to shift a behavior you once thought it was unattainable to do.
Researchers say that one small move forward taps the “progress principle” to boost happiness. This research is applicable to happiness at work; however, the same principle can be applied to your everyday life. Small victories will turn on your joy, happiness and your overall engagement in life. Simple daily consistent practices can help you create an empowered mindset. And consequently, if you have an empowered mindset you are heading towards resetting your mind.

You redefine the image you have of yourself through these affirmations. These can release you of all negativity. I can assure you that when you start doing these, it is almost like you wash out all the negativity and you give yourself permission to leave the old you behind.
